  Died—
 Meriwether.—At his residence, at this place, about 12 o'clock last night, March 20th, 1883, Mr. W. D. Meriwether.
  Mr. Meriwether is well known by all, and his death is regretted by a large number of his friends and relatives. He has been engaged in the mercantile business at this place and Sulphur Rock for quite a number of years and was noted for his generosity, kindness and leniency to those who called on him for assistance. His remains will be buried at Sulphur Rock to-morrow (Thursday) with Masonic honors. Services by J. S. Thomas, of the Baptist Church.
