  T. B. Meriwether Dies at Kelley
 Well Known Putnamite Dies at the Home of His Son — Burial in Eatonton Thursday.
 79 Years of Age
  Mr. Thos. B. Meriwether, one of the oldest and most highly esteemed citizens of Putnam county, died at the home of his son, Will Meriwether, at Kelley, Ga., last Wednesday, and the funeral took place in Eatonton Thursday morning, conducted by Rev. Jas. Thomas, pastor of the Eatonton Presbyterian church, of which the deceased as for many years a member.
  Mr. Meriwether was 79 years old (sic). He was a son of the late Judge and Mrs. James A. Meriwether, and a [brother] of the late Mrs. Susan Meriwether Young. He was married to Miss Bonner, a sister of Mr. W. S. Bonner, and his wife died some years ago.
  Two daughters, Mrs. John Turner and Miss Annie May Meriwether, and two sons, Archie Meriwether of Spartanburg, S. C., and Will Meriwether of Kelley, attended the funeral. A son living in New York was unable to be present.
  Mr. Meriwether was a consistent Christian gentleman and was held in the highest confidence of the people of the town and county. He farmed in the county many years, and afterward was a rural route carrier for a long time.
  For the last several years he had lived with his son at Kelley.
