  Robert Meriwether Dies At Home Here
 Robert S. Meriwether, 79, a resident of Montgomery for more than 30 years, died at his heme on the Narrow Lane Road at 10 o'clock last night after a long illness.
  Mr. Meriwether was a native of Lowndes County, where be was born Oct. 1, 1855. He was a prominent farmer and business man in Lowndes County before moving to Montgomery, having wide interests in the dairy industry.
  For many years be was a member of the Knights of Pythias, the Dexter Avenue Methodist Church, and the Big Brothers Bible Class.
  Surviving are his widow, five sons, G. A. and J. H. Meriwether, both of Mobile, Robert Meriwether, of Pensacola, Fla., Joseph F. Meriwether, of Selma. and Gordon K. Meriwether, of Montgomery; three daughters, Mrs. Marshall H. Green and Mrs. Allen A. Poindexter, Jr, both of Montgomery, and Mrs. A. A. Williams, of Evergreen, and a number of grandchildren.
