BENJAMIN MERIWETHER, 98, of Tampa, died Thursday (Aug. 25, 2005) after a long illness. He was a member of Idlewild Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Wayne; two grandsons, Leh and Jamie; and a great-grandson, Benjamin Baldwin. Garden of Memories Funeral Home, Tampa.

Benjamin Meriwether, 98, of Tampa ended his long journey through life after a short illness. August 25, 2005.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mamie, and is survived by his son, Wayne Meriwether, and wife, Betty; grandsons, Leh Meriwether and wife, Stephanie, and Jamie Meriwether and wife, Atsuko; and great-grandson, Benjamin Baldwin Meriwether.
Mr. Meriwether was a member of Idlewild Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2005, at Garden of Memories Funeral Home with interment following in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Melech Hospice House, 11125 52nd St., Temple Terrace, FL 33617.
