Note: N700 John Aylett John Aylett was born on the Fairfield Plantation of his father, Col. William Aylett and his wife Ann. Like Nicholas II, Col. Aylett was a large landholder, including land in Pumunkey Neck, where Nicholas had made his first land patent. Col. Aylette was the first County Clerk of King William County, serving from its creation in 1702 until his death about 1733. John inherited a portion of Fairfield in 1733.
