Note: N3334 "Lewis of Warner Hall" states that David Anderson married Mary Jane Buckner, daughter of Ballard Buckner and Lucy Anderson. This would make Mary the niece of David, so such a marriage seems unlikely. Other genealogies simply state that David Anderson married a Mary Buckner, and that Mary Jane Buckner married, first, a David Anderson, but did not identify the parents of either spouse, so no relationship is suggested. Update: Recent correspondence from the Buckner family strongly indicates that Mary Jane Buckner's mother, Lucy Anderson, was the daughter of Richard C. Anderson and Anne Smith, not Edmund Anderson and Jane Meriwether Lewis. If this is true, then David Anderson and Mary Jane Buckner would be cousins, not uncle/niece, and therefore a marriage is at least possible. If so, they probably married in Kentucky and removed soon thereafter to Mississippi, where David died of cholera. At present there is no evidence supporting this supposition, however.
