Note: N14353 Dallas Morning News (Dallas, Texas), 3 March 1934 Sarah Louisa Meriwether Miss Sarah Louisa Meriwether, 84, native Texan, died Friday at her residence, 1717 Canton. She was born at Houston March 26, 1849. Miss Meriwether came to Dallas in 1873. She was a cousin of the late Mrs. A.H. Belo, wife of the late Col. A.H. Belo, publisher of The News. The funeral will be held at St. Matthew's Cathedral, 10 a.m. Monday, Bishop Harry T. Moore and Dean George Rodgers Wood officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Will Lather, A.E. Hopkinson, Lon Malcolm, Harry R. Moore, John H. Stacey, Jack Swain. Honorary pallbearers will be W.H. Benners, George B. Dealey, S.M. Leftwich, H.L. Edwards, Curt Beck, John R. Swain, Hugo Schoellkopf, James E. Forrest, A.B. Wood, Robert Ralston. Surviving are three nieces, Miss Louise Howard and Miss Sarah Meriwether of Dallas and Miss Hattie Meriwether of New York City, and nephew, George K. Meriwether of Dallas.
