Note: N14495 Joe was one of the Confederate troops at Fort Donelson when the forces were unconditionally surrendered to Gen. Ulysses S Grant. Over 5,000 prisoners of war were marched north to prison camps in Illinois, Ohio and other points. Joe died of illness and was buried at Fort Butler.
