Note: N14596 Pollard-Pollard The Harrodsburg Herald (KY), 19 September 1924 Messrs B. F. and R. M. Pollard, of this city, have the sincere sympathy of the community in the loss of their father and step-mother within a week of each other. Both were apparently in good health until recently. Mr. Pollard was taken ill first, and a few days later his wife was stricken with euremic poisoning, passing away last Thursday. She was 65 years of age, a splendid Christian woman who had a large circle of friends. Her funeral was held Sunday at Danville, and the interment was in Maple Grove cemetery, at Nicholasville, with Rev. A. C. Kuykendall officiating. About twenty-four hours after his wife's funeral Mr. Sam Pollard died, the end coming at 5 o'clock Tuesday morning. For many years Mr. Pollard was in the insurance business. He was a member of the Christian church, an active worker for the Master's cause, and keenly interested in all matters for the community benefit. He was 70 years of age, and for a number of years served in the Danville City Council, and was highly respected for his integrity in all lines of life. He had many friends in Harrodsburg where he has frequently visited his sons. The funeral was held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock at the Danville Christian church, conducted by Rev. M. A. Hart. The burial was in the Lancaster cemetery with the Knights of Pythias, of which he was a member, in charge of the service at the grave. Four children survive, Mssrs, B.. F. and R. M.
