Octavia Northington
Octavia D. Northington, 91, Route 4, Clarksville, died Friday at Clarksville Manor Nursing Home after an extended illness.
Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at Greenwood Cemetery with the Rev. Sam Barnett officiating.
Born in Montgomery County, Sept. 4, 1890, she was the daughter of the late Joseph C. Meriwether and Jennie Barker Meriwether. Her husband, Michael C. Northington II, preceded her in death.
She was a member of the St. Bethlehem United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a grandson, Michael C. Northington IV; two granddaughters, Nancy N. Northington and Nell Northington Qualls; and a great-grandchild, all of Clarksville.
Pallbearers were Arch Northington, Robert T. Meriwether Jr., Douglas Bourne, John Dolinger, Bob Bellamy and Norman Rawlins.
