Note: N3681 Information on James is unreliable. Some have a birth date of 1773, which is unlikely as his daughter Martha was supposedly born in 1781. Likewise, some show a death date of 1843. His wife Sarah was supposedly a widow who married Nicholas Meriwether in 1787.
One source shows he was born in 1755 and died 27 Apr 1782 in Albemarle County, VA. Theses dates make more sense but then he could not be the son of James Michie as originally shown on this site. The source indeed has him as the son of Robert Michie (1735-1793) and Ann Watson (1744-1834).
For now we have removed any connection to parents of James Michie.
