 Funeral Services to be Held Today for John W. Meriwether
 ———
 Death claimed John W. Meriwether, 83, farmer, at the family home on Raymond road Saturday afternoon. Mr. Meriwether was a Confederate veteran, member of the Methodist church and had resided in Jackson for the past 3 years. He came here from Holmes county.
  In addition to two sons, J. P. Meriwether, of Terry and N. M. Meriwether, of Winnsboro, La, four daughters survive. They are; Miss Annie Meriwether, Mrs. Sallle Garrard, Miss Claudie Meriwether, all of Terry, Mrs. Lula McDaniel, of Prentiss. A sister, Mrs. Sallle George, of Lexington, is also a surviver. .
  Funeral services will be held from the Hebron church in Holmes county Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. S. O. Potts in charge. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
