Ardelia Beatrice Travis, age 68, a native of Mobile, AL and resident of Eight Mile died in a local hospital Thursday, March 13, 2003. Mrs. Travis was a director of a child daycare center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas Travis and parents, Percy Roe Meriweather and Beatrice Phillips Meriweather.
She is survived by her children, Ella Elizabeth Butler, Della Beatrice White, William Thomas Travis, II, Patricia Travis Horton and John Jesse Travis; eight grandchildren, Christopher Donnette Hammac, Douglas Clay Hammac, Emily Kristen Travis, Samantha Monique White, Clayton Joseph Horton, Shannon Elizabeth White, Travis Wayne Horton and Cierra Elizabeth Travis.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM Saturday, March 15, 2003 from Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. Funeral services will be held from Smithtown Baptist Church on Sunday, March 16 at 2:00 PM followed by Interment in Smithtown Baptist Church Cemetery.
