Josie Cornelia Meriwether, an 87 year-old native of Frisco City, AL and resident of Mobile, passed away at a local hospital on Tuesday, May 13, 2008.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 12 years, Percy Roe Meriwether.
Mrs. Meriwether is survived by her children, Bill (Nancy) Huggins of Illinois, David (Sue) Wall of Mobile, Joann (Jeff) Kanost of Denver, CO, Mary (Johnny) Chillison and Susan (Steve) Johnson both of Mobile; sisters, Mildred (James) Gomillon of Birmingham, AL and Gussie Lambert of Mexia, AL; 24 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, May 16, 2008 beginning at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until service time. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements by Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral home 6040 Three Notch Rd. Mobile, AL.
