  Died—Samuel Tyler (chancellor), in Williamsburg, on Monday last.
  Sam Tyler was a nephew of John Tyler and judge of United States District Court 1811.
  He attended William and Mary College and was elected to the legislature in 1798.
 On December 21 1803 he qualified as Chancellor of the Williamsburg District.

 Burial location of Judge Samuel Tyler who died in 1812, Lyon Gardiner Tyler states in the Letters and Times of the Tylers, Vol. III, Appendix H, that Samuel Tyler is buried at Red Hill in Charlotte County, Virginia along with his father Louis Tyler.
