Died.—In Augusta, on Monday the 14th inst., Dr. William Merriwether, of Clark County, Georgia, aged 36 years… The seeds of the disease which occasioned his death had been deposited many years, and his health was exceedingly feeble for several years past.
Dr. Merriwether was a man of uncommon intellect. The powers of his mind were developed in the prosecution of two laborious professions, first medicine, which the weakness of his constitution compelled him to abandon, and afterwards the practice of the law…He was unassuming, modest, and retiring in his manner…
