  Joseph Merriwether, who cut his throat the morning of May 15, at the home of his son, James Merriwether, in Greenville township, died Sunday morning at 6:30 o'clock. He leaves three sons, James, Elmer and Brown Merriwether, and two daughters, Mrs. John Pectol and Mrs. Joseph Sturns, all of Floyd county. The funeral services were held Tuesday at 11 o'clock from the church in Galena.
