  Dave Meriwether, father of Herman Meriwether and Mrs. Joe McAninch, died last night at the Fredonia Nursing Home. Loran Fawcett Funeral Home will have charge of burial services. No funeral arrangements had as yet been made at press time.

  Funeral Rites for D. H. Meriwether Held Last Saturday Afternoon.

 D. H. Meriwether, 82, a long time resident of Neodesha, died Wednesday evening of last week at 7 o'clock at the Nursing Home at Fredonia, where he had been in failing health for several years.
  Mr. Meriwether and family came to Kansas about 47 years ago, locating in Neodesha and lived here a number of years and then moved to Altoona, where he resided for a good many years and then moved back to Neodesha and this city had since been his home. He was a constructor and builder in his younger days and built many houses in this city.
  Besides his wife, he is survived by seven children, as follows: Mrs. Joe McAninch and Mrs. Minnie Burgess, of Neodesha; A. H. Meriwether, of Altoona; Mrs. Elsie Glick of St. Louis, Mo.; Herman Meriwether, of Odessa, Texas; Howard Meriwether, of Chanute, and Mrs. Dorothy Keller, of Tacoma, Wash.
  Funeral services for Mr. Meriwether, were held Saturday afternoon at 2:30, from the Loran Faucett funeral home. The Rev. H. D. Coulter, pastor of the Baptist church, conducted the services and the hymnal numbers, "Lead Kindly Light," and "Abide With Me" were sung by Mrs. J. E. Cochran, accompanied by Mrs. Elmer Webber.
  Interment was made in Altoona cemetery and casket bearers were: Walter Mason, A. C. Bolinger, E. R. Koch, J. J. Black, A. F. McKellar and Emil W. Sharpe.
  Out-of-town relatives attending the services were: Howard Meriwether, and family, Chanute, Kan.; Mr. and Mrs. Erschel Meriwether, of Altoona, Kan.; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Meriwether, Jr.. and children, of Parsons, Kan.; Mrs. Herman Meriwether, Mrs. John B. Allen, Misses Wanda and Darlene Meriwether of Odessa, Texas; and Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Bowers, of Enid, Okla.
