The many friends of the family of Col. John Wallace will regret to learn of the death of his farther-in law, Dr. Meriwether, at the residence of Col. Wallace last Friday night. Dr. Meriwether was from Virginia, and was visiting his daughter. He had been in feeble health for some time, and his death was not altogether unexpected.
