Note: N5702 Courier Journal (Louisville, Kentucky), 28 November 1917, p 6 After a long illness, Charles Meriwether, 63 years old, a well-known expert accountant of Louisville, died yesterday morning at 11:30 o'clock at the Norton Memorial Infirmary of inflammation of the stomach. He lived in the St. Charles apartments. Mr. Meriwether was special accountant of the city tax and attorney's offices during the Head and Buschemeyer administrations. He was a native of Louisville, and at one time was connected with the Falls City Bank, the Louisville Hotel Company and with a Cuban concern. He was a member of Christ Church Cathedral for forty years. His son, Coleman Meriwether, is employed by a Chicago firm. A sister, Mrs. Udolfo Snead, of New York, wife of the owner of the Snead building here, and a niece, Mrs. William Bradley, of Lexington, also survive him. Funeral arrangements have not been made.
