  Waldo P. Meriwether
 Waldo P. Meriwether, sixth child of James Dodd and Mary Ellen Meriwether, was born April 18, 1872 (sic), in Maries County, Mo., and passed away at his home in Blue Springs, Nebr., after a lingering illness, on June 21, 1944, at the age of 72 years, two months and three days.
  He grew to manhood in Maries county, and attended school there.
  On September 20, 1899, he was united in marriage to Laura Learned in Carlisle, Ind. They came to Gage county, Nebr., in 1909. To this union were born eight children, three having preceded him in death.
  Surviving are his wife, two sons, Ashley and Howard, three daughters, Mrs. Daisy Capps, Mrs. Merle Carpenter, and Mrs. Robert Malstead; fifteen grandchildren, four sisters, one brother and many nephews and nieces, and friends.
