  Daisy R. Capps, 93 years of age, of Beatrice, NE passed away at the Good Samaritan Center in Beatrice, NE, Wednesday morning, November 26, 2003. She was born on June 3, 1910 in the Rockford, NE area of Gage County. She spent the majority of her childhood in the Blue Springs, NE area. She lived in Marysville, Kansas before moving to Hastings where she was employed at the Good Samaritan Center. She moved to Beatrice, NE about 7 years ago. She attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Beatrice, NE. She enjoyed sewing, reading and crocheting.
  Survivors include 3 sons, Lee Capps and his wife Delores of Bend, Oregon, Dale Capps of Darlington, Pennsylvania and Ronald Capps and his wife Barbara of Red Bluff, California; daughter Kathleen Havers and her husband John of Sedwick, Kansas; a daughter in law Pam Capps of Morgan Hill, California; several grandchildren; sister Bonnie Malstead of Beatrice, NE.; and by nieces and nephews.
  She was preceded in death by her parents Peter Waldo and Laura (Learned) Meriwether; daughter Lois Jean Capps; 2 sons Don and Wesley Capps; 3 brothers Donald, Robert and Howard Meriwether; and 3 sisters Margaret, Lois and Frances Maye.
  Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Saturday, November 29, 2003 at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice with reverend Dan Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the Blue Springs Cemetery in Blue Springs, NE. The body will lie in state Friday after 12:30 P.M. until the time of the service at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice.
