  "MISS SUSAN" YOUNG DIES
 Eatonton Woman Registered to Vote in 95th Year
  EATONTON, Ga., Jan. 13.—Mrs. Susan Meriwether Young died of bronchial pneumonia Tuesday night at her home in the Bronson Apartments. She was 97 years of age.
  Mrs. Young was the daughter of Judge James Meriwether, Speaker of the National House of Representatives, where he was an intimate friend of Henry Clay.
  "Miss Susan" registered to vote in her 95th year.
  She is survived by one son, Rev. Robert F. Adams, a Presbyterian minister of South Carolina; four daughters, Miss Roberta Young, Miss Eallie Young, Miss Nora Young and Mrs. John W. Adams. A brother, Thomas B. Meriwether, of Kelley, Ga., also survives her.

  EATONTON, Ga., Jan. 20.—Mrs. Susan Meriweather Young died here January 15, 1923, in her 96th year. She was the daughter of James A. Meriweather of Eatonton and Rebecca McKigney, of Atlanta. Her father was speaker of the State House of Representatives, judge of the Superior Court and a member of Congress. At his death the State Legislature erected a monument over his grave in Eatonton.
  Susan Meriweather first married Jefferson Adams, and of this union surviving her are Robert Adams, D.D., of Pendleton, S.C.; Mrs. Susan Adams Young, Mrs. Sara Adams Young, Mrs. Ella A. Adams, of Eatonton, and Mrs. Mary Adams Rivers, of Atlanta.
  Her second marriage was to William T. Young, and their daughter, Miss Nona Young, survives. Mrs. Young spent all of her life in Eatonton. She was keenly interested in the affairs of the day and a great admirer of Woodrow Wilson.
  Her mental and physical health was excellent until she was stricken by pneumonia three weeks ago, which resulted in her death.
  One of her numerous grandchildren is Dr. I. H. Adams of Macon.
