Wife of James J. Lawrence and daughter of James A & Rebecca C. Merriwether who departed this life Aug 16th 1851 aged 22 years.
Her death was the triumph of a christian's faith over the terrors of the grave, calmly, quietly she awaited her doom and assured of an eternity of happiness without a struggle or groan bid the world FAREWELL.
Thou art gone to a land where the eye knows no leur; where the brow never ? ? touch of decay: But the heart thou hast left feels a loneliness here, For the warmth of its summer hath faded away.
