Note: It was quite hard to stand there with my wife, nephews - Bryan and Jason Burch with their wives and Jay Hooley, watching Jeannie take her last breath. It was quite hard, when Eric, Jeannie's middle son, who was in California at the time, say goodbye to his momma over the cellphone. He said through tears, he loved her. Her obit - http://hennesseyobits.blogspot.com/2014/08/pamela-jean-jeannie-burner-vinson.html Jeannie Vinson, 63, of Hennessey, was born Pamela Jean Burner in Enid, OK, Dec. 31st, 1950 to Beatrice May Fredregill Burner and Hollis Lynn Burner. She attended Hennessey Public School where she graduated with the Class of 1969. She had three sons of her own and two step-sons. On Dec. 30th, 1996 she married the love of her life, Ralph Vinson, and theirs was a love that spanned 26 years. A love so strong that time wouldn`t break and only death could take. Jeannie worked as a waitress at the Parker House Restaurant, and as a store clerk at Love`s Country Store and the Easy Stop until she retired in 2012. Jeannie went to be with our Lord in heaven on July 31st, 2014 after a long battle with cancer. Jeannie was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Hollis Glenn Burner. She is survived by her loving husband, Ralph; five sons, Bryan and Shelley Burch of Hennessey, Eric Burch of San Diego, CA., Jason and Lauren Burch of Enid, OK, Mike and Loraine Vinson of Hennessey, and Russell Vinson of Hennessey. One sister, Diana Lynn Hooley of Norman, OK; one brother, Edward Dale "Buddy" Burner and wife, Debbie of Cement, OK; one sister-in-law, Bonnie Faye Burner of Coweta, OK. Jeannie had seven grandchildren and three great-grand-children. Jeannie was a loving wife, mother, and grandparent. Her family was her life`s work and shall stand as a direct reflection of her. Jeannie helped raise four boys whose accomplishments stand as her life`s masterpiece: two United States Marines, two college graduates, an Oklahoma State Trooper, two police officers, and five very good men, fathers, and examples of what a mother`s love can accomplish. Jeannie loved her boys more than life itself, and she worked her whole life to provide for them. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tues., Aug. 4, 2014 at First Christian Church officiated by Rev. Mickey Moery and Rev. Gene Moore. Cremation arrangements are by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made in her name to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund. NOTE: Sister Jeannie did not die in Stillwater, OK as many other trees state. She died in Oklahoma City. I was there to watch her take her last breath. Cremated.
