Note: (Research):McGEHEE -- «u»«b»«i»Dortha Blissitt Priest«/u»«/b»«/i», 77, of McGehee, died Sunday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center at Pine Bluff. She was born May 2, 1926, in the Neal Settlement (Desha County), a daughter of the late Major G. Minchew and Lucy Higgins Minchew. She was a retired certified nurse's assistant for Beverly Enterprises and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Blissitt; one son, Gerald Blissitt; one daughter, Lena Blissitt Hall; and one grandson. Survivors include three sons, Butch Blissitt of Arkansas City, Major Blissitt of Monticello and Kenny Blissitt of McGehee; one daughter, Louise Partin of McGehee; two brothers, M.G. Minchew of Cominto (Drew County) and Ernest Minchew of Monticello; four sisters, Lurleen Jobe of Lawton, Okla., Maxine VanKanegon and Maureen Files, both of New Orleans, and Sylvia Dale Ingram of Monticello; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today at Halley Baptist Church with Johnny Carter officiating. Burial will be in Halley Cemetery by Griffin Funeral Service of McGehee.
