Notes
a. Note:   N93 !"I actually have very little material on the Nelson family. At least before they came to the valley. They first lived in the Bostwick Park area where the Troutman's settled with Grandma and Louva. I know that Grandma was in a Grange Drill team and have seen newspaper articles and pictures of this team. I would guess that is where they met. Then the Troutmans and Alice and Clive moved back to Missouri for a short time. I think one of the girls was born in MO but I don't have that in my book. Then they all moved back here to Montrose. They lived and worked on the Bell Dairy (or place) for many years. Did you ever hear of the trout farm or go out there when in Montrose? North of Montrose and West on the edge of the mesa not too far from the river. During WW II both Alice and Clive worked at a military base in Utah. I have the name, etc. in some of my other material. For a while they lived in Naturita and Clive ran a Pool Hall. Charlie Troutman also told Clive that the Troutmans first came to the U. S. as a Hessian soldier during the Revolutionary War." From a letter from Beverly Brown August 1987.
