  !2 Feb 1890: Thomas Dolan. Among the oldest and most generally respected residents of Keokuk was Thomas Dolan. After a long life of 79 years of activity and usefulness he has passed away, his demise occurring at 4 o'clock Sunday morning at his home in Reid's additon. His death resulted from general debility, he having been in declining health for several years and suffered from the infirmities of advancing age. Mr. Dolan is survived by his aged wife, whom he married in 1842, four sons, Bernard A., John and Thomas Dolan of Keokuk, and Patrick, of Denver, Col. He was a native of Ireland, emigrated to the United States in 1846 and located in Keokuk in 1854, since which time he has continuously resided here. He had a wide acquaintance that will lament his tafkking off. The funeral is announced for 9:30 o'clock this morning from St. Peter's Catholic Church. Keokuk Daily Gate City, February 4, 1890.
