Note: N199 !He was born Sept 6, 1830. He belongs to an old and well respected German family: lives west of Owensville, Indiana and has been engaged in farming all his life. He is a member of the Regular Baptist Church of Owensville. from Montgomerys and Their Descendants by D. B. Montgomery, p. 258. !The fifth child of that couple was Augusta J. Emerson, born March 1, 1849. On Dec 14, 1892, she was married to Thompson Gabrel Mauck (1830-1910), whose first wife had died Oct 22, 1891. Mr Mauck's first wife was America Knowles, a daughter of Asa and Matilda (Montgomery) Knowles. Born Oct 16, 1830, America was married to Thompson Mauck on Nov 13, 1851, and had a family. Stormont's History stated that Mrs America Mauck died in 1892, but the Mauck Cemetery inscription reads Oct 22, 1891. Thompson G. Mauck died Aug 13, 1910. His widow Augusta (Emerson) Mauck lived until Jan 16, 1913. In The Genealogy Newspaper Columns of Robert E. Lists William Stouts (?) 20 born in Illinois as a servant. Enumeration date 7 Jun 1880. !14 Dec 1892: After the death of America, he married on 14 December 1892 in Gibson County, Indiana, to Augusta J. Emerson, daughter of Jesse and Margaret (Redman) Emerson. She was born on 1 Mar 1849 and died on 16 January 1913.
