a. Note:   N99 !My father's second wife for her health had gone to Colorado, with her daughter, Mary Margaret Ham, and is now living at 840 G. Street, Salida Colorado, in her 83rd year. Her name was Eliza Ann Hartley, daughter of William and Margaret Hartley, all three born in Fleming Co., KY. Margaret Hartley was Margaret Muse an own cousin to my mother and stepsister to my mother. Eliza Ann Ham died Jan 30, 1927 at 3:30 A. M. at the home of her daughter Mary Margaret Ham in Salida, Colorado. Burial at Saguache, Colorado on Tuesday, Feb 1, 1927 on her 84th birth anniversary.   !20 Sep 1888: Mrs. E. A. Ham and three daughters, of Smith county, Kansas, arrived at Saguache last Friday. Miss Maggie, who has been at this place some time, returned to her eastern home a few weeks since and accompanied her mother and sisters. Here will be their home in the future. Two sons are expected to arrive in about two weeks, who are making the trip overland with their stock. Saguache Democrat, Volume 5, November 349, September 20, 1888.   !1 Sep 1924: Former Crescent Publisher Buried Tuesday. W. H. Ham, former publisher of the Saguache Crescent and an old time resident of Saguache died at Salida last Friday and funeral services and interment were held in Saguache on Tuesday of this week. Wm. H. Ham was born in Atchison County, Kansas, April 21st, 1873. He came to Saguache in September 1888 and resided here until 1917. He learned the printers trade in the Crescent under R. H. Janes, and was publisher from 1910 unit 1917, when the paper was purchased by Chas. W. Ogden, the present owner. Several years ago Mr. Ham had a paralytic stroke, from which he never recovered and his death was due to heart trouble. Mr. Ham, who has been staying with his sister and mother at Salida, was feeling as well as usual, but had an attack with his heart Friday morning and never regained consciousness, passing away Friday night His mother, sister and Brother Joe and family of Saguache, were present at his bedside when the end came. His wife and son of Denver were summoned and came to attend the funeral. W. H. Ham was married to Sarah Fullerton June 1, 1903, and to this union were born two boys and one girl. Funeral services were held from the Saguache Methodist church on Tuesday afternoon, Rev. W. H. Milciating (sic). Burial was in the Saguache cemetery. The Saguache Crescent, Saguache, Colorado, Thursday, September 4, 1924.
  !Joseph Malcom Ham, her grandson, has the gravestone according to his daughter Beverly Obera, 1992.
  !There are two main grave markers at the Cemetery. 1. James H. Hamm 1865-1920. Mary M. 18/6/1941 and 2. Joseph W Hamm 1875-1963, Eliza H., Mary S. and William H. Grave 1. marked by funeral marker only and it is not in very good shape. You can see the name of Joseph W. on the metal marker. All names on marker's have been added not too long ago.   !Hillside Cemetery is located about 1/2 mile southeast of the town of Saguache on Cemetery Road. To get to Hillside, turn east on Pitkin Avenue and drive approximately 7 blocks, turn left, go one block then turn right at the stop sign. Follow the county road approximately 1/2 mile to the cemetery entrance. Hamm graves are in Block F.
