On Oct 14, 1926, I was within 1 1/2 miles of the place, but roads were too rough for me to reach the place. I could not walk the distance. In the year 1847 Malcom was married to Nancy Ann Conrad, sometimes written as Conard, she was born Nov 28, 1820 in Fleming Co., KY where they lived until about Nov. 1849 at which time they moved to a point some 5 miles S. W. of Rushville, Indiana, where they lived until October 1856 when they went west to near Dekalb Mo. for the winter, living in a log cabin on the farm of Samuel Wylie. It was in this cabin where my wife Mary Catharine Kessler was born July 12, 1856, from which place they , David and Nancy Jane Kessler, then moved to South Creek near the present town of Muscotah, Kansas.
