  !19 May 1919: Entertained at Dinner for Husband's Birthday. A pleasurable event was the delightful birthday dinner given on Sunday by Mrs. Clive Nelson in honor of her husband's thirty-first anniversary, and covers at the beautifully appointed table were laid for Mr. and Mrs. Charles Davis, Mr. and Mrs. A. H Rouse and Roberta and Burdette Rouse. Mr. and Mrs. Merle Headington and George and Grace Headington and the host and hostess and Louva, Lois and Lorraine Nelson. Marguerites and Irises were used in the pretty decorations and the spread; was one of those delicious menus for which Mrs. Nelson is famed for serving. The afternoon was spent in social diversion, and all joined in wishing the host many happy returns. He was the recipient of several nice gifts.   !29 Dec 1919: Mr. and Mrs. Charles Troutman and their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Clive Nelson and children departed Monday for Carthage, Mo., where they expect to locate permanently.
