To my knowledge, Walter and Elsie moved to California when my dad was young (i.e. in the early 1920s.) Before that they lived in Gunnison , Utah (where for a short time I am told my grandfather Walter was a partner of J.C. Penney in one of his early stores.) Upon moving to California Walter, Elsie and my dad lived in Oceanside for a time and then Oxnard where my dad went to high school. They then moved to the Los Angeles area ( Alhambra ?) and my dad attended the California Institute of Technology. Elsie died in L.A. County , possibly Pasadena or South Pasadena (I saw her in a rest home shortly before her death but was a young guy and don't remember exactly where that was.) Walter also died in L.A. County . !25 Sep 1906: Walter Humphries of Longmont and Miss Elsie Hamm were married in Denver Tuesday Sep 25th. The bride is a sister of W. H.
