Note: N2757 !16 Feb 1978: Henry Morlang, Jr. Services for Henry Morlang, Jr., who died Thursday at 8:20 a. m. in Memorial Hospital, will be conducted by Lloyd McMillan of the Christian Church Monday at 10 a. m. from Kinsey's Montrose Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Grand View Cemetery. Born Sept. 1, 1903 in Neuheim Russia, Henry Morlang was the son of Henry Morlang Sr. and Katharin (Morlang) Morlang. When he was about 3 1/2 years old, the family came to the United States. After moving to Colorado they lived first in Denver. When he was about eight they moved to the Delta vicinity and a few years later located in the Montrose area. On Feb. 18, 1934, Mr. Morlang, was married at Montrose to Lois Nelson. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and one daughter: Grant, and Richard (Dick) Morlang; Mr. Darwin (Sharon) Lewis, Valdez, Alaska; seven grandchildren: LIsa and Kevin Morlang; Mike and Shannon Morlang; Robbie Kay, Robert and Nancy Lewis. Also surviving are three sisters and a brother; Mrs. Alex (Katherine) Moreland, Delta; Mrs. Clyde (Pauline) Brenn, Montrose; Mrs. Bud (Martha) Helmericks, Fairbanks, Alaska; John Morlang, Cheyenne, Wyo. Mr. Morlang was a member of the Montrose Christian Church. A retired rancher, he was fond of outdoor activities including fishing and hunting.
