OBITUARY: DAVID O. RAMSEY, son of Albert and Ellen Ramsey, of Kosciusko County, was born June 27th, 1866, died April 13th, 1888, aged 21 years, 10 months, and 16 days. Funeral sermon by Rev. D. Hidy, April 4th in the Collamer Christian Church at 2 pm, assisted by Revs. Cain of the M.E. Church and Norris of the U.B. Church of South Whitley.
This young man was a model man and dearly loved by all who knew him. He was taken sick while at college at Ft. Wayne, came home and only lived a few days. The professor, his teachers and over 30 of the students from Ft. Wayne attended the funeral with fitting resolutions on his death which were read preceding the sermon to a crowded house, which showed their high appreciation of this young christian brother. He united with the Collamer Christian Church a little over a year ago. May God give supporting grace to his dear parents and all the bereaved relatives.
