Notes
a. Note:   Per Killeen Farrell (killeen.farrell@sympatico.ca): "I think this Daniel Tuttle is the son of Jonathan Tuttle and Massa [or Mercy] Whalen. The Tuttles, including Daniel, filed land petitions in Upper Canada in the 1780s and 1790s. By 1800 the dad, Jonathan, is in Madrid Township, NYS. He makes a Will in 1805 and it is probated in 1809. Daniel Tuttle is a named son in this Will."

MEMORIES FROM GRANDSON, GEORGE, in the public family tree on Ancestry.com owned by "Icincurak":
"From George Tuttle's Recollection: This is a record from the old family Bible and what I did not see there, I was told by my parents and others as I grew up, also my own experiences, as I remember all the different families. My Grandfather left Germany for this country in 1776 and settled on a farm a few miles from buffalo, New York and 9 children was born unto them. When the 9th child was born they all moved on a sailing vessel from buffalo to Detroit, Mich. and my Grandfather set up a shoe shop and my father helped him in the shop."

 DEATH:
Some researchers note that Daniel died in Brocklin, MI, but there appears to be no town by that name, however, there is a town named Brooklyn, Jackson Co, MI.
