Kattareen Lane (per dau. of John, who was of Milford, 1640 and d. 1669, leavin good est.) He received house and lot in East Haven from his f. by deed 1661. He sold it next year to John Potter, blacksmith, and about same time sold, according to Dodd, to wid. of Wm. Ludington, land at Stony River, which was a part of his patrimony. In these conv. he is called Jun. At court in N. H. (New Haven, CT) Nov. 23, 1662, John Tuttle reuqested that he might have liberty to purchase some land of the Indians beyond Chestnut Hill. He d. Nov 12, 1683. He married, November 8, 1653, Kattareen, daughter of John Lane, of Milford, Connecticut, born 1630, died 1669, leaving a good estate. He died November 12, 1683. May 29, 1689 at New London, Conn., Mary Burroughs, dau. of John Burroughs and Hannah Culver, b. Dec. 14, 1672 at New Haven. Eleven children of the family. Samuel Tuttle, b. Jan. 9, 1659/60, d. July 8, 1733 at New Haven; m. 1) in June 1684 at New Haven, Sarah Newman, who d. Feb. 12, 1707/08 at New Haven; m. 2) Abigail Frost, dau. of John Frost and Mercy Payne, and wid. of John Barnes.
