NY Census 3 - - - 2 - ; 2 - - 1-; Bishop M Tuttle with 3 males to age 10, 2 males age 26-45 (one is Bishop - is the other the eldest son?), 2 females under age 10 and one female age 26-45 (Rebecca). Also in the houshold are two male slaves; one under age 14 and one between the ages of 15-26. 1830 US Census records of Knox Twp., Holmes County, Ohio indicate: - 1 - 1 1 - 1; 2 1 2 - - 1; Bishop M Tuttle household 4 males: 1 age 5-9, 1 age 15-19, 1 age 20-29, and 1 (Bishop) age 40-49 . Females number 6 total; 2 under age 5 (? and Rebecca) , 1 age 5-9 (Charlotte would be about 7), 2 age 10-14 (Harriet would be 12 but who is the other?), and 1 (Rebecca) age 30-40. 1840 US Census records of Knox Twp., Holmes County, Ohio indicate: 1 1 - 1 2 - - 1; - - 1 1 1 - 1; Household of Bishop M Tuttle: 1 male under age 5 (Wesley), 1 age 5-10, 1 age 15-19, two age 20-29, and Bishop age 50-59. Females are 1 age 15-20 (?), 1 age 20-29 (Harriet) and Rebecca age 40-49. 1850 Bishop (65) and wife Rebecca (60) with daughter Rebecca (21) b. NY, Susan (19) b. OH and son Wesley (15) b OH. Bishop is a farmer with land valued at $1500. Bishop born CT, Rebecca (wife) born MA. There are obviously sons born to this couple that are not known. Biographical data of daughter Harriet N Tuttle in the Holmes Co. to 1985 Book, p. 56 indicates she was one of 12 chidlren: 6 girls and 6 boys. Possibilities according to the census are: Son born 1800-1810 Son born 1810-1815 or 1810-1820 (2?) Son born 1825-1830 or 1820-1825 Son born 1835-1840 Known children (documented) include Harriet, Susan, Wesley, Rebecca, Charlotte Possible children (from undocumented sources) include Lucy A, Joel N, Asa C, Jemima, Jason, Nathan, John, Samuel In 1830 there is Samuel L Tuttle living close by Bishop. Samuel is age 15-20 with a female age 15-20.
