Note: POSTED ON FIND A GRAVE WEB SITE: Birth: Jul. 25, 1737 Wallingford, New Haven County, Connecticut, USA Death: unknown Connecticut, USA BIO: Elizabeth Dutton was born in Wallingford, Connecticut, the daughter of Benjamin Dutton and his wife, Mary. In Waterbury, Connecticut (now Wolcott), on June 28, 1759, she married Daniel Alcott. He was the son of John Alcott and Deborah Blakeslee, born in Waterbury. Daniel and Elizabeth had ten children. The first of them were born in Waterbury, but about 1770, a new town was formed, named Farmingbury, so the rest of the children were born in that town, even though they had not moved. Daniel served in the Revolutionary War. When he returned, they moved to Colebrook in Litchfield County. Soon after the move, Daniel died. In his will, he mentioned his wife and daughters Elizabeth and Urany Allcox. Wife Elizabeth and son-in-law Enos Tuttle were named as executors. The date and place of Elizabeth's death is not known at this time, but she was alive in 1805 and probably died in Colebrook.
