On the 1835 state census he was living in Cohocton. He listed that he owned 2 meat cattle, 10 sheep, and 5 hogs. They had 25 yards of cloth manufactured in domestic way in the family and 12 yards of linen or cotton. On the 1850 census he was listed as an innkeeper in Wayland. They moved to Ripon, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin in 1851. On the 1860 census he was listed as a farmer with $6000 worth of real estate property. In 1870 he was a retired farmer with $5000 of property. In the Ripon-Wisconsin Necrology Volume 3, page 31 is the following death notice: "Death of Truman Tuttle Feb 20, 1881; b at Rutland, Vt and came to Wisconsin 1851."
