He ran far in littel time. Few exceeded him in sweetness of temper...". Young Rev. Tuttle was the son of Col. Joseph Tuttle, an elder of the Hanover church, and his 2nd wife, Abigail Nutman. He married a minister's daughter, Ann Green. Their only child, Benaijah, who predeceased him a few weeks earlier, is buried beside him.
