a. Note:   Abraham Ives of Wallington, CT who with Lucy sold all the est. of Israel to pay his debts, 1767. In 1742 Israel had rc'd by deed from his father, Isaac dayton, 30 acres in N. Haven, CT bounded north by Ezekiel Tuttle, south by E. Bradley. In 1753 Israel bought of Daniel Clark both of Wallington 45 acres and dwelling house in N. Haven, CT. In 1754 Israel conv. to Jonathan Dayton of N. Haven 6 acres "where I now dwell, to ye west." In 1758 Ebenezer Blakeslee, Jr., appt. to settle est. of Israel Dayton, secured house to the widow. Timothy Clark of Farmington appt. guardian to Israel and Samuel, minor children 1758; in 1756 JOnathan Dayton appt. guardian to Jehiel. A gravestone in Southington, CT says "Ithiel Dayton d. April 23, 1750, in his 23d yr."
