Note: POSTED ON FIND A GRAVE WEB SITE: Birth: Nov. 14, 1774 Lanesborough, Berkshire County, Massachusetts, USA Death: Nov. 13, 1830 New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut, USA Benjamin Prime, son of Joseph and Hannah (King) Prime, b. in Lanesborough, MA, grew up in New Haven, VT. He removed to New Haven, CT abt. 1805. His first wife, Polly (Phelps) Prime, b. Feb. 22, 1779, prob. in VT; d. June 21, 1807 in New Haven, CT. She is buried in the Grove St. Cem, New Haven, CT. Also near her stone is a small memorial to their son Horatio Prime who, b. 1800 in VT and d. Feb. 25, 1802 in Lanesborough, MA and also their daughter, Clarissa Prime, b. 1803, d. Oct. 1, 1804. Benjamin Prime was partner with Nehemiah Bradley in the firm of Prime and Bradley, Brass Founders, located on Chapel St. (1805-1809), and later, 1809, on Artizan St., New Haven, CT. This partnership dissolved in 1815.
