Note: POSTED ON FIND A GRAVE WEB SITE: Birth: unknown Death: Feb. 10, 1867 Mrs. Tuttle, age 72, was the widow of Capt. Bradley Tuttle. Born c.1795, she was the daughter of David Smith, a veteran of the Revolutionary War, and the former Abigail Hatch. Both the Tuttles and the Smiths were among the early settlers of Auburn who had come to central New York from Massachusetts. Predeceased by her parents, she also survived her husband, a veteran of the War of 1812 who was 13 years her senior. Joining him in the Smith Family Plot a decade after his death, their graves are marked by an elevated marble obelisk which dominates the southwestern quarter of the North Street Cemetery. The facade of the obelisk bearing Paulina's name is adorned with a hand cuffed in lace pointing skyward, while the Captain's side features a more masculine version of the same image.
