 John Tuttle, b. Sept. 15. 1657; m. in New London by Captain Avery, May 29, 1689, Mary Burroughs. In 1693 he conv. land in N. H. to bro. Samuel Tuttle; in 1700, of N. H., conv. to Sam'l Clark, part of my f., John Tuttle's, third div., late of N. H., 28 acres bounded by Mill river, Joseph Tuttle's land, etc. In 1701 he is called "planter" in a conv. to Nathan Smith. In 1715 he is called John Tuttle, sr , of Lebanon, New London county, Conn., in a quit claim of right in sequestered lands to Mr. John Prout. March 20, 1723, Nathan Clark 116, and Josiah Tuttle 136, produced a note from Samuel, Tuttle, signifying his desire that they should be made admrs. on the est. of John Tuttle, late of E. H., dec., and they moved the same, but the judge saw cause to waive it. (New Haven Prob. Rec.)

 disposed of before June 3, 1730."
