Note: Isaac Warner, whose wife Hannah, was a sister of Professor Charles Gray of Ham. Col. They lived some time in Ohio. His health failed; his wife, some years his senior, returned to Vermont, and he died at the house of his sister, Mrs. Dewing, at about age 50. All the children except the last were born in Burlington, Chittenden Co., VT. Children: 1. Charles, b. about 1830, died young 2. George Avery, b. about 1832, grad. West Point Mil. Academy; enlisted in a Zouave Regt.; resig. and entered the 51st Regt. N.Y. Vols.; became Capt.; was in several great battles; contracted rheumatism in the service and died about three months before end of war. 3. Robert Alexander, b. about 1834, went to California; settled in San Franciso, CA; unheard from for many years. 4. Elizabeth Hackley, b. about 1836, m. Edward Kilborn of Burlington, VT, 1 child: John who resided in Philadelphia, PA 5. Frances Warner, b. about 1838, m. 4 Jul 1855, Charles Pettis Bicknell, a real estate broker in Philadelphia, PA, son of Robert T. Bicknell, a prominent banker of Philadelphia, formerly of Boston, MA. Mrs. Bicknell was well known as a writer and artist. Children: 1. Joseph Dorr, b. 14 Mar 1857 2. Robert Thaxter, b. 9 May 1863 3. Edith, b. about 1865, died young 4. Clara, b. about 1867, died young 6.
