Notes
a. Note:   Birth: Feb. 19, 1794 Montague, Franklin County, Massachusetts, USA
 Death: Jul. 7, 1850
 Shelburne, Franklin County, Massachusetts, USA
Her birth is calculated from her age at death in her death record. Her birth record is not found, nor are the names of her parents with any certainty. There was a Delia Butler baptized at Buckland,MA on Jan 20,1805, a daughter of James Butler and Sarah Joslin Butler, but this would have been when she was aged 9, and younger siblings were baptized in Buckland earlier. However, there is a gap in the birthdates of known children of James and Sarah, and James died in 1801, so it is conceivable that this Delia was their daughter.
While the marriage records in Shelburne and Deerfield give her maiden name as Butler, another record, a 1915 S.A.R. application, gives her maiden name as Tuttle, and calls her the daughter of Elijah Tuttle (1760-1792) and Tirza ____ Tuttle. Tirza is buried nearby.
