[NOTE: The above census shows Wells Davis was a son of Alexander & Eliza Davis, however, I question that since Eliza would have been 44 years old when he was born. Since Eliza's actual birth year is 1816. For whatever reasons Eliza and/or Alexander chose to indicate she was younger by indicating she was born in 1827, will remain unknown, but by that calculation that she was born in 1816 would have made her 64 years old when Wells was born, and that really seems impossible. I am wondering if he was a grandchild that they adopted. Upon his death, his name was engraved on the tombstone with Alexander and Eliza, so the mystery remains........]
