  "Elizabeth was born Nov. 19, 1767 at Litchfield, Connecticut, a daughter of Nathaniel and Esther (Tuttle) Lewis. She married Issac Hale on Sep. 20, 1790 at Wells, Vermont. One of their children, Emma Hale, married Joseph Smith Jr. The infant son of Emma and Joseph is buried near the Hale Family Plot."
