"Zophar Tuttle b. 19 Jul 1743, m. 11 Jan 1767 Hannah Doolittle of Wallingford, CT. He went with Benoni Tuttle to Vermont, then to Susquehanna Co, PA, where he died, and his widow Hannah m. (2) Jonah, son of Aaron Blakeslee, and had Benjamin, Zophar and Lyman, from whom a large number of the name of Blakeslee in W. Penn. are descended. Zophar Blakeslee was father of James I. and Sarah M., who m. Asa Packer of Mauch Chunk."
